MILE´TUS

MILE´TUS a town of Mysia, in the territory of Scepsis, on the river Evenus, which was destroyed as early as the time of Pliny (5.32.). Another town of the same name in Paphlagonia, on the road between Amastris and Sinope, is mentioned only in the Peuting. Table.
