MORONTABARA

MORONTABARA (τὰ Μοροντάβαρα, Arrian, Indic. 100.22), a place on the coast of Gedrosia, at no great distance W. of the mouths of the Indus, noticed by Arrian in his account of Nearchus's expedition with the fleet of Alexander the Great. It does not appear to have been satisfactorily identified with any modern place.
