NAXUA´NA

NAXUA´NA (Ναχουάνα, Ptol. 5.13.12), a city on the N. bank of the river Araxes, now Nachdgĕvân, a city of some importance in Armenian history, [p. 2.407]and connected, by tradition, with the first habitation of Noah, and the descent of the patriarch from the ark.
