NOVANA a town of Picenum, mentioned only by Pliny (3.13. s. 18), who appears to place it in the neighbourhood of Asculum and Cupra.
It is probably represented by MontediNove, about 8 miles N. of Ascoli. (Cluver, Ital. p. 741.) [E.H.B]
