RIMMON
RIMMON (
Ἐρεμμὼν), a city of the tribe of Simeon (
Josh. 19.7), mentioned by Zechariah as the extremity of the land of Judah (14.10). Placed by Eusebius S. of Daroma, 16 miles from Eleutheropolis. (
Onomast. s. vv. Ἐρεμβὼν, Ῥέμμα.) He places another town of the same name 15 miles north of Jerusalem. (
