SACALA

SACALA (τά Σάκαλαα), a desert spot on the seashore of Gedrosia which was visited by the fleet of Nearchus (Arrian Ind. chap. 22). It is not satisfactorily identified with any modern place. (Vincent, Voyage of Nearchus, i. p. 202.)
