SALDU´BA


1.

A small river in the territory of the Turduli in Hispania Baetica, probably the same called Σαδούκα, (with var. lect.) by Ptolemy (2.4.7). Now Rio Verde.


2.

A town at the mouth of the preceding river (Σάλδουβα, Ptol. 2.4.11), of no great importance (Mela, 2.6; Plin. Nat. 3.1. s. 3), near the present Marbella.
