SAMBANA

SAMBANA (Σάμβανα), a small place mentioned by Diodorus Siculus (17.27). There can be little doubt that it is the same as the Sabata of Pliny (6.27.31). It was situated about two days' journey N. of Sittake and E. of Artemita.
