SOLIS INSULA

SOLIS INSULA (Plin. Nat. 6.22. s. 24), an island mentioned by Pliny between the mainland of India and Ceylon, in the strait. There can be no doubt that it is the present Ramiseram Cor, famous for a temple of Rama. It bore also the name of Κῶρυ [CORY]
