SOLIS INSULA
SOLIS INSULA (
Plin. Nat. 6.22. s. 24), an island mentioned by Pliny between the mainland of
India and
Ceylon, in the strait.
There can be no doubt that it is the present
Ramiseram Cor, famous for a temple of Rama.
It bore also the name of
Κῶρυ [
