SYRIAS

SYRIAS (Συριάς), a headland in the Euxine, on the coast of Paphlagonia, which, to distinguish it from, the larger promontory of Carambis in its vicinity, was also called ἄκρα λεπτή. (Marcian, p. 72; Arrian, Peripl. P. E. p. 15; Anonym. Persipl. P. E. p. 7.) Its modern name is Cape Indje.
