TEU´RNIA

TEU´RNIA (Τεουρνία), a Celtic town in Noricum, on the left bank of the upper part of the river Dravus (Plin. Nat. 3.27; Ptol. 2.14.3). Its site is still marked by considerable ruins not far from the little town of Spital. (Comp. Orelli, Inscript. Nos. 498 and 5071; Eugippus, Vit. S. Severi, 17, 21, where it is called Tiburnia.)
