TUTZIS

TUTZIS (It. Anton. p. 162), a small fortified town in Aethiopia, situated 12 miles N. of Tachompso, chompso, upon the western side of the Nile. The ruins of Tutzis are supposed to be near, and NW. of the present village of Gyrseh. (Belzoni, Travels, vol. i. p. 112.)
