VAGEDRUSA

VAGEDRUSA the name of a river in Sicily, mentioned by Silius Italicus (14.229), according to the old editions of that author; but there can be no doubt that the true reading is that restored by Ruperti, “vage Chrysa,” and that the river Chrysas is the one meant. (Ruperti, ad l.c.)
