Ἕκτωρ , ορος: Hector, son of Priam and Hecuba, Il. 22.80, 405, 430, Il. 24.747; husband of Andromache, Il. 6.390, Il. 24.723; and father of Astyanax. Hector was the mainstay of Troy in the war, οἶος γὰρ ἐρυ?ετο ?̓́ιλιον Ἕκτωρ, Il. 6.403. He was slain by Achilles in revenge for the killing of Patroclus, Il. 18.115, Il. 22.326, 331, 361.
