ἄρτιος (root ἀρ): suitable; only pl., ἄρτια βάζειν, ‘sensibly,’ Il. 14.92, Od. 8.240; ὅτι οἱ φρεσὶν ἄρτια ἤδῃ, was a ‘congenial spirit,’ Il. 5.326, Od. 19.248.
