ἕκαστος (ϝεκ.): each, each one; in sing. regularly w. pl. vb., and in app. to pl. subjects, οἳ μὲν κακκείοντες ἔβαν οἶκόνδε ϝέκαστος, ‘each to his home,’ Il. 1.606; pl., less common and strictly referring to each of several parties or sets of persons, Il. 3.1; sometimes, however, equiv. to the sing., Od. 14.436.
