φράζεο καὶ χάζεο, ‘bethink and
shrink,” Il. 5.440; then
with gen., give over, rest from, μάχης, δουρός, Ο 426, Il.
11.539. Here belongs the causative κεκαδών, depriving, Il. 11.334, Od.
21.153, 170, unless this form should be referred to κήδω.
