Masculine patronymics end in -ιά-δης, -ί-δης, -ά-δης, and -ίων: “Πηληιάδης, Πηλεΐδης, Πηλεΐων” (“Πηλεύς”), ‘son of Pe leus’; “Θεστορίδης” (“Θέστωρ”), ‘son of Thestor’; “Μεγάδης”, ‘son of Megas’; “Κρονι?ων”, ‘son of Cronus.’
