Acto'rides

or ACTO'RION (Ἀκτορίδης or Ἀκτορίων), are patronymic forms of Actor, and are consequently given to descendants of an Actor, such as Patroclus (Ov. Met. xiii 373; Trist. 1.9. 29), Erithus (Ov. Met. 5.79; compare 8.308, 371), Eurytus, and Cteatus. (Hom. Il. 2.621, 13.185, 11.750, 23.638.)

In the article on Soranus, we find: "at this present time (1848)" and this date seems to reflect the dates of works cited. 1873 - probably the printing date.
