Alector

2. A son of Anaxagoras and father of Iphis, king of Argos. He was consulted by Polyneices as to the manner in which Amphiaraus might be compelled to take part in the expedition against Thebes. (Apollod. 3.6.2; Paus. 2.18.4.) Two others of the same name are mentioned in Homer. (Od. 4.10; Eustath. ad Hom. pp. 303 and 1598.)
