Amphi'dicus

（*)Amfi/dikos), a Theban who, in the war of the Seven against his native city, slew Parthenopaeus. (Apollod. 3.6.8.) According to Euripides (Eur. Phoen. 1156), however, it was Periclymenus who killed Parthenopaeus. Pausanias (9.18.4) calls him Asphodicus, whence sone critics wish to introduce the same name in Apollodorus.

In the article on Soranus, we find: "at this present time (1848)" and this date seems to reflect the dates of works cited. 1873 - probably the printing date.
