Astydameia

*)Astuda/meia), a daughter of Amyntor, king of the Dolopians in Thessaly, by Cleobule. She became by Heracles the mother of Tlepolemus. (Pind. O. 7.24, with the Schol.) Other accounts differ from Pindar, for Hyginus (Hyg. Fab. 162) calls the mother of Tlepolemus Astyoche, and Apollodorus (2.7.8) calls the son of Astydameia Ctesippus. (Comp. Muncker, ad Hygin. l.c.) The Astydameia mentioned under ACASTUS and ANTIGONE, No. 2, is a different personage.
