C. Caepa'sius

and L. Caepa'sius, two brothers, contemporaries of the orator Hortensius, obtained the quaestorship, though they were unknown men, by means of their oratory. They were very industrious and laborious, but their oratory was of rather a rude and unpolished kind. (Cic. Brut. 69, pro Cluent. 20, 21; Julius Victor, p. 248, ed. Orelli ; Quint. Inst. 4.2.19, 6.1.41, 3.39.)

In the article on Soranus, we find: "at this present time (1848)" and this date seems to reflect the dates of works cited. 1873 - probably the printing date.
