Cha'riton
(
Χαρίτων), an oculist, who lived in or before the second century after Christ, as one of his medical formulae is quoted by Galen (
De Antid. 2.13. vol. xiv. p. 180), and also by Aetius (4.1, 18, p. 620). Ie is also mentioned in an ancient Latin inscription, which is explained at length by C. G. Kühn, in his
