Da'masus

*Da/masos), of Tralles in Cilicia, is mentioned by Strabo (xiv. p.649) among the celebrated orators of Tralles. He is surnamed Scombrus (Ἐκομβρος), and is in all probability the same as the Damos Scombros mentioned by Seneca (Controv. 2.14), and may possibly be the same as the rhetorician who is also spoken of by Seneca (Suas. 1; comp. Schott, ad Controv. 2.14) under the name of Damaseticus. But nothing further is known about him.
