E'rato

Ἐρατώ), a nymph and the wife of Areas, by whom she became the mother of Elatus, Apheidas, and Azan. She was said to have been a prophetic priestess of the Arcadian Pan. (Paus. 8.27.9; ARCAS.) There are two other mythical personages of this name, the one a Muse and the other a Nereid. (Apollod. 1.3.1, 2.6; Hes. Th. 247.)
