Γύγης), the ordinary name of the hundred-armed giant, who is sometimes called Gyas or Gyes. (Apollod. 1.1.1; Hes. Th. 149; comp. Ov. Fast. 4.593, Trist. 4.7, 18, Amor. 2.1, 12; Schol. ad Apollon. Rhod. 1.1165.)
