3. A son of Haemon, Praxonides, or Iphitus.
At the command of the Delphic oracle, he restored the Olympian games, and instituted the cessation of all war during their celebration. (
Paus. 5.4.5.) Another Iphitus, who is otherwise unknown, is mentioned by Apollodorus (
2.5.1).
