Lici'nia

1. The wife of Claudius Asellus [ASELLUS, No. 3], lived about the middle of the second century B. C. When she and Publicia were accused of murdering their husbands, they gave bail to the praetor for their appearance, but were put to death by order of their relatives, consequently by a judicium domesticum. (Liv. Epit. 48; V. Max. 6.3.8; Rein, Criminalrecht der Römer, p. 407.)

In the article on Soranus, we find: "at this present time (1848)" and this date seems to reflect the dates of works cited. 1873 - probably the printing date.
