Moero or Moero Phlilologus

（Μοιρώ), or MYRO (Μυρώ), a Byzantine poetess, the wife of Andromachus surnamed Phlilologus, and mother of the grammarian and tragic poet Homerus [HOMERUS]. She wrote epic, elegiac, and lyric poems. Atlhenaeus (xi. p. 490e.) quotes a passage from a poem written by her, named Μνημοσύνη. Eustathius (ad Il. ii. p. 247) mentions a hymn to Poseidon, the production of Myro, who is probably identical with Moero, who is called Myro by Suidas. One of her epigrams is contained in the Anthology (4.1). Other fragments are given in Brunck's Anal. vol. i. p. 202. (Suidas, s. v. Μυρώ, with Küster's note ; Fabric. Bibl. In the article on Soranus, we find: "at this present time (1848)" and this date seems to reflect the dates of works cited. 1873 - probably the printing date.
