Rhoecus

*(Roi=kos), a centaur who, conjointly with Hylaeus, pursued Atalanta in Arcadia, but was killed by her with an arrow (Apollod. 3.9.2; Callim. Hymn. in Dian. 221; Aelian, Ael. VH 13.1). This centaur is perhaps the same as the one who is called Rhoetus by Latin poets. (RHOETUS).
