Coggeshall, George 1784-1861

Author; born in Connecticut in 1784; during the War of 1812-15 commanded two privateers. His publications relating to the United States include History of American privateers and letters of marque during our War with England, 1812, 13, 14; and Historical sketch of commerce and navigation from the birth of our Saviour down to the present date. He died in 1861.
