in 1775, in 1776 he took his family to Logan
's Fort, near Harrodsburg
There he was attacked by a large force of Indians
, but they were repulsed.
He was second in command of an expedition against the Indians at Chillicothe
, under Colonel Bowman
, in July, 1779.
In 1788 he conducted an expedition against the Northwestern
tribes, burning their villages and destroying their crops.
In 1792 he was a member of the convention that framed the first constitution for Kentucky
He died in Shelby county, Ky.
