Moore, Alfred 1755-1810

Jurist; born in Brunswick county, N. C., May 21, 1755; served in the Revolutionary army throughout the war; elected attorney-general of North Carolina in 1792; appointed associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States in 1799. He resigned in [255] 1804, and died in Bladen county, N. C., Oct. 15, 1810.
