Norton, Chapple 1746-1818

Military officer; born in England in 1746; became a lieutenantcolonel in the British army in 1774; was brevetted general in 1802; came to the United States in 1779, and fought in the Revolutionary War, receiving honorable mention several times. He died in England, March 19, 1818.
