hlaupa hleyp, hljóp, hljópum, hlaupinn v

1. to leap, jump (hann hljóp meirr en hæð sina); hljópu þeir á hesta sína, they sprang upon their horses; h fyrir borð, útbyrðis, to leap overboard; h á sund, to leap into the water; h upp, to spring to one�s feet, start up (þá hljópu varðmerm upp);
