Fatal accident.

--J. Lewis Thompkins, a salesman in the dry goods house of Tallant & Dallaplaine, at Wheeling, Va, was killed on Sunday morning last by being thrown from his horse. A sad incident connected with the catastrophe was that only a few moments after Mr. Thompkins' death a dispatch came for him, requesting his immediate presence in Portsmouth, Ohio, where his brother had met with an accident and was not expected to live.
