--Miss Hatty James, a vocalist, was severely burnt at the Gaieties Saloon, in New York, on Friday night, by her dress taking fire from the uncovered footlights of the stage.
Her face, arms and breast, were badly burnt, and her professional career is ended, even should she recover.
