To be tried.

--John Lipscomb, a prominent member of the youthful band of desperadoes so long infesting this city, whose escape from the city jail and recapture in Lynchburg has been already noticed, arrived yesterday, and will be tried to-day before Judge Lyons for a burglary said to have been committed by himself and others several months since. Lipscomb reports to the Sergeant that Wm. Martin, (continued for burglary,) who escaped with him, ‘"is all safe, "’ which means he is, for the present, beyond the reach of punishment.
