--The N. York steamship Jamestown, on her last trip thither, was compelled to anchor at City Point, in consequence of the rapidity of the current.
Afterwards, her passengers were transfered to the steamer A. H. Schultz, and brought to this city, and landed in small boats opposite the foot of 18th street.
