The ladies and the soldiers.

--The ladies attached to the different religious congregations of this city are still busily employed making up uniforms for the soldiers. We omitted, through forgetfulness, to state several days since, that the ladies of St. Peter's Cathedral had moved their work room from Purcell's building, ‘"Lyle's corner,"’ to the basement of their Church. They are now daily doing good and effective service in fitting up our brave defenders for their expected encounter with the savage hordes whose satanic yells reach us from the borders of our good old State.
