The shoe business in Lynn

--The shoe business of Lynn is now almost at a dead stand Only about one thousand pairs of hoes are manufactured weekly, when in good times the number swells up to at least fifty thousand pairs. One dealer received an order from a Virginia trader, accompanied by the cash, for a quantity of ladies' gaiters, a few days ago, to be shipped by the way of Ohio. The Virginian stated that he would run all risk of their being seized by the General Government. The Lynn manufacturer, however, was afraid to fill the order, and returned the money.
