A Shocking scene.

--A letter from Geneva, in the Progress of Lyons, says:

‘ "The execution of a man named Vary, who had been guilty of three murders, took place on the 25th of May. More than 15,000 persons were present, nothing of the kind having taken place during the last eleven years.--Vary made no resistance to being strapped to the fatal plank, but when it turned down he made a sudden struggle and got nearly off it, and the shock unhooking the knife, it fell and out his hand in two. The executioner narrowly escaped having his hand amputated.--A loud clammer was excited among the spectators by the scene."
