Painful accident.

--A very serious accident occurred in Petersburg, Va., on Friday night last, to Dr. J. J. Thweatt. While riding up Sycamore street, to visit a patient, his horse became frightened at the beating of the drums of the South Carolina troops and ran away Dr. T. was thrown from his buggy and had one of his legs broken between the knee and the hips.
