An Unpropitious room Mate.

--It is not very pleasant to be put in a room at a hotel with a strange man, for various reasons. All who have travelled will acknowledge the truth of this. Charles Kenner, who was yesterday introduced to Recorder Chastimel was placed in a room with a stranger, at his boarding-house. He did not like it and complained, but received no relief, and determined to make the room too hot for the stranger. As an admirable plan, he extracted $35 from the man's pockets while he was asleep, and felt sure that he would leave as soon as he found it out. But, instance of learning, he made affidavit against Charles for robbing him, and had him locked up in the calaboose. N.Q.
