Halipan, Oct. 13.

--The steamship Arabia has arrived. She left Liverpool on Saturday, the 5th, and brings telegraphic dates via Queenstown, of the commercial business up to the night of the 5th inst. Her intelligence is two days later than that brought by the North American.

The sales of cotton at Liverpool on Friday were 12,000, and on Saturday 15,000 bales. The market closed firm at previous quotations.

Broadsfuffs were firm, and provisions quiet. Consols at Liverpool were quoted at 92,a93.

The Pope of Rome repudiates all compromise with the enemies of his Government.

The expedition fitting out in Spain against Mexico is progressing rapidly, and will sail at an early day.
