The Pensacola (Fla.) Observer, of the 1st inst., says that the punishment of Stephen Foote, who was convicted for treason and sentenced to be shot this morning, has been changed to imprisonment in the penitentiary during the existence of the war between the Confederate States and the United States.

Hon. G. S. Guion, of Ridgefield, Lafourche parish, La., died at his residence on the 29th ult.
