Terrible Disaster in France.
--The for sign papers give accounts of a terrible casualty in the department of Gard France
In consequence of a powerful storm — the bursting of a water spout, according to some statements — the Life mine was flooded and the sides fell in, burying all the workmen.--An explosion of gas took place at the same time, by which a portion of the mine was blown up. The number of men missing, and considered as killed by the accident, is nearly three hundred.
There is no probability that but a very few can be got out alive.
