--We invite attention to the advertisement of Major Bloomfield, in the hope that the negroes called for may be furnished promptly. There are at present in Richmond a large number of negroes for hire who could not be better disposed of than in the manner suggested; but the chief difficulty lies in the fact that the agents have no authority for accepting the liberal terms offered by the Government which owners would doubtless readily give if they were made acquainted with the facts Negroes hired by the Government will be well cared for medical attendance furnished free, and, in the event of an escape, the owner is compensated.
