Fatal accident

--An accident which resulted in the death of a volunteer, occurred at the Guard House, in this city, on Saturday afternoon, about two o'clock.

James H. Gontor, a member of Company P, Sixth Virginia Regiment and W. H. Rainey, a member of the same command, were sky-larking, it appears, when a pistol in the hand of the latter, was accidentally discharged, the contents of which entered the head of Mr. Gontor, inst above the right eye, and passed obliquely over the left, tearing out his brain and killing him immediately, at Norfolk Lynchburg, 18th.
